Over the weekend, a return to the winner's list for our First XI.
After winning the bat flip and electing to bat, the boys made great use of fantastic conditions.
An early wicket was not a great start at 1/5. Then stepped in the skipper - Jordan McDermott scoring 124 runs, not out.
McDermott was fantastic with his batting display and was well supported by Darren Ray (43) and Daniel Cormack (56). The South boys made a very competitive 5/247 at the end of the 40 overs.
With our innings with the ball, our bowlers were fantastic in keeping the away side to minimal scoring opportunities. And at the end of 40 overs fell short by 26 runs, Jake Lawson was the pick of our bowlers with 2/61.
It certainly was a great way to notch up the first win of this year and the fourth of the season.
Next weekend we face The Footballers away at Pickett Reserve.
